City arrests all reach Centreville for county booking, but the local police report stays with the city. Sturgis, Three Rivers, and Constantine each keep their own agency reports.

St. Joseph Arrest Charges Can Change

The arresting officer records an initial allegation and legal basis. Police then submit the report and warrant request to the prosecutor. The prosecutor reviews probable cause and whether the charge can be proved, then authorizes, changes, or declines a complaint. A judge or magistrate handles the first court steps.
